I have a Type A, extremely disciplined and overachieving type of personality. Anytime I ever thought of coaching I couldn’t fathom paying someone to do something I could theoretically figure out myself.
Thankfully the universe brought Dave into my life. Our original connection had nothing to do with coaching, but as I got to know him, and learned that he was a coach, I actively pursued him, and explaining that if I was ever to work with a coach, I’d want it to be someone who could challenge me in ways I couldn’t imagine. My meditation and mindfulness practices have exponentially grown since our engagement, and he’s opened my eyes to a vast reservoir of inner peace, awareness and clarity that I now know is truly always available.
Beyond spiritual practice, Dave has been equally impactful in supporting me in the nitty-gritty day-to-day of running a challenging startup, from priority clarification to task management to proactive redundancy creation; and, when it comes to my personal life and relationships, Dave has masterfully supported me in facing the discomfort of my habitual patterns in a compassionate yet persistent way that’s allowed for my own realizations, which I know is the only real way to elicit lasting change.
